Hi, my name is Gill and I began line dancing over 30 years ago. After qualifying as a line dance instructor with the BWDA in 2017, ‘Not Just Country’ Line Dancing was born in 2018, as I decided that I wanted to share my passion and love of Line Dancing with as many people as possible, especially those who may not have considered trying it before.
I started off by teaching beginner classes twice a week, building up to currently 7 classes a week over four evenings. I cater for beginner and improver/intermediate dancers, teaching new dancers the basic steps and moving them on gradually to more challenging dances.
There are so many benefits of line dancing. It is a fun way of exercising both physically and mentally. It can help keep joints supple, it’s good for your heart and lungs and memorising the step patterns exercises your brain. What’s more you don’t need a partner and it’s a great way to make new friends. Our classes are very friendly and relaxed, and we welcome dancers of all ages and abilities -.no experience is needed.
So if you're looking for a way to have fun, make friends, keep fit and love every second of it, come along to one of our classes (no booking required). I can't wait to see you there!
